Lush Seaweed Mask and Steam Eye Masks

Hi!  How was everyone's weekend?  Mine was good but I'm sad that it's over and now back to the grind again.

Today I wanted to review a few products that I have recently tried.  I feel like I do a lot of haul posts but not enough reviews because I always end up forgetting about them!

Lush BB Seaweed Mask

This mask came with the 9 for $25 deal and I picked the BB Seaweed mask to try out.  The SA said that this was really good for your skin.

Description: Relaxing and reviving, mineral-rich mask to cleanse, soften and beautify all skins. This blend, inspired by the sea, contains fresh and nutritious seaweed and seaweed absolute. Cleansing kaolin, antiseptic honey, calming aloe vera and rose absolute make this a great mask for everyone. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes, then rinse with warm water. Keep chilled.

Quantitative Ingredients

VEGETARIAN, Lime Tree Flower and Sweet Violet Leaf Decoction (Tilia europaea and Viola odorata), Kaolin, Honey, Glycerine, Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Toothed Wrack Seaweed (Fucus serratus), Organic Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Millet Flakes (Panicum miliaceum), Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Bentonite Gel, Fresh Rose Petals (Rosa centifolia), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis), Seaweed Absolute (Fucus vesiculosus), *Citral, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume}

Texture: Thick oatmeal-like paste with bits of seaweed.

Since the directions advise you to refrigerate the mask it felt really cool and soothing when I applied it to my face.  There is a salty fishy smell which I guess makes sense because it is a seaweed mask.

The directions tell you to leave it on for 5-10 minutes then rinse with warm water.  After leaving it on for about 3-4 minutes the mask started drying and tightening on my face.  I actually used this mask a few times and experimented with leaving it on for the full 10 minutes but for me leaving it on that long started to feel uncomfortable for me.  My skin started to feel really tight and started to feel itchy so for me leaving it on for just 5 minutes was better.

After I washed off my face I noticed a difference right away!  It made my skin super soft and really brightened up my complexion.

The few bad things about this mask is the fishy smell, and the fact that it doesn't have a long shelf life.  From the time I bought this from the store I only had 2 weeks to use it before it expired.

Overall this is a great mask, just make sure not to buy a big size if you're not going to use it right away!

Relaxing Steam Eye Masks

After reading Kathi's (Lotus Palace) review about this I couldn't resist and get myself some to try!  I know, I have such weak sales resistance.

These are disposable eye masks that supposedly heats up when you put them on your eyes to relieve stress and relax you.  The mask comes in different scents and I picked Chamomile to try out.

The mask itself looks like a eye mask that people where to sleep and they come with ear attachments to hold it in place.

A few minutes after putting in on my eyes they started to slowly heat up!  It was a pretty interesting experience but in a good way because it felt very relaxing.  I don't think this would be good for hot summer nights but on a cold day this felt heavenly.

Overall these are nice to have around but isn't a must have for me.  They do feel really good and I would probably get some more if I run out.  I got them on ebay from the seller that Kathi put on her post (alphabeautyuk).

French Food

My bf took me out to lunch at this French Cafe near work.  It was delicious!

He got the pan friend steak with butter and seasoned fries on the side.

I got this sampler platter that had ham and cheese quiche, calamari, pate and mini toasts.

I'm actually getting hungry again looking at this!

Porcelain Doll Themed Party

On Saturday night our friends invited us out to this club/event that had a Porcelain Doll Theme.  It was encouraged that you wear all white so I figured it would be fun to dress up a little!

I realized I didn't have many white clothing but I manage to put together a white dress, white blazer, white head band, and white flats.  I'm also wearing some Koji Takako falsies which miraculously stayed on me the whole night!  I wore some skinny grey jeans underneath since it was super cold out!  I also got a chance to sport some red lips since it was a "doll" themed event!  The sad part is I lost my lipstick during the night, so now I'm going to have to go get a new one.

That's all for today, time to go watch The Bachelor and then 24!

Review: Canmake Nudy Glow Lip Gloss

Happy Wednesday (Hump) Day everyone!  I already can't wait for the weekend to come.  As of lately I have been obsessed with milky creamy glosses, so move over sparkles and glitter!

The addiction really started out with my first NARS lip gloss in Dolce Vita.  It was so creamy, smooth, and pigmented that I loved it so much.  The best part about it was the color showed up well on my pigmented so I can easily wear it alone.

I then decided to pick up some Canmake Nudy Glow glosses after reading several good reviews from bloggers and some said it was comparable to NARS (this is when I knew, I had to have it).

Canmake Nudy Glow

L-R: Honey Latte, Sugar Milk Tea, Strawberry Whip, Rose Macaroon

Sugar Milk Tea - Milky Beige

Rose Macaroon - Milky Pink

Strawberry Whip - Milky Baby Pink

Honey Latte - Milky Light Beige

The glosses come with a brush applicator.

Swatches (L-R): Honey Latte, Sugar Milk Tea, Strawberry Whip, Rose Macaroon

As you can see these glosses are super creamy and milky!  They are also surprisingly pigmented and all the colors actually show up on my lips.  Sugar Milk Tea and Rose Macaroon are my favorite out of the bunch but I am still missing 1 more color which is Brownie Chocolate that I plan to get later to complete my collection haha

The Good: Pigmented, Not too sticky, Creamy, Gorgeous Color, Affordable

The Bad:  Doesn't last too long especially if you constantly eat and drink, will accentuate cracked or dry lips so your lips have to be in good condition to wear this

Overall:  I love these glosses!  They are creamy, milky goodness :)

In case you are wondering, I got these off of www.ichibankao.com, they run for about $12.50 each shipping included!

Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo

NOTE: All products mentioned were purchased by me with my own money.
